What is the Best Way to Get from Fiumicino Airport (FCO) to Rome?

Written by: Kate Zusmann

How to Get from Fiumicino Airport to Rome City Center

The best way to get from Fiumicino Airport to your hotel in Rome is to order a private transfer from the Rome Fiumicino Transfer Company website for 70 euros. So to say, the price for a regular taxi is a minimum of 55 euros. The driver, Sergio, will meet you at the airport and with him, you will be able to reach any point of the city in a fast and comfortable way. You can order a transfer in advance on rome4.us.

Leonardo da Vinci Roma – Fiumicino Airport is mostly known as ‘Fiumicino’, or by the code FCO. It is the main airport of Rome for domestic and international flights with four terminals: 1,2,3, and 5.

There are two types of trains that can take you to the city center of Rome or rather, the main railway station called Roma Termini. Here, the first and fastest option is Leonardo Express, while the second option is the local FM1 train. The railway station can be found outside of Terminal 3.
