Why Rome is Important?

Rome was a powerful and huge empire for a long time, which controlled most of Europe. It is important for many reasons.

  1. First, the Ancient Romans have influenced world’s culture and made a huge impact on the development of technology and science.
  2. Secondly, Roman Empire had a great political significance, since Romans were the first who created a Senate.

Moreover, one of the most essential historical eras, Renaissance, was inspired by the Romans. It is worth to mention that even today, Rome is important not only for Italy, but for the whole world. It is the center of western civilization and the center of Christianity. There is a huge number of historical and archeological places, monuments, paintings and other masterpieces made by most famous artists. Of course, one of the most compelling reasons of Rome’s importance is the Vatican located on its territory.
