Gelateria Alla Scala is the first in my list. Their gelato consists of natural products only and it is evident from its taste. This gelateria is in Trastevere area and you should definitely pass it to understand the difference of an ice cream and real italian gelato! They also have drinks on the milk base and other desserts.

If you need a reliable transfer from airport to your hotel in Rome, order it on Rome4.us – fix price is only 50 euro.

Moreover, Blue Ice is not only gelateria, but it also offers products as pancakes with nutella, macarons, and other sweet specialties. Tasting new flavors of gelato is one of my favorite parts during long walks across the Eternal City. It will take so much time to try all flavors and visit all gelaterias of Rome because the number of them is endless. However, it is worth to enjoy an ice cream made from high quality ingredients and to try wonderful mixes that you can meet almost in every gelateria. Which flavor of gelato is your favorite one?

Italian gelato is a real masterpiece in the world of ice cream. Normally I am not such a big lover of ice cream but in Rome I couldn’t help it! Me and my husband were eating it all the time. We did visit Fatamorgana and we couldn’t believe that gelato can taste like that. I tried a mango flavour and it was like eating a real mango. I feel so sorry that in my home town such ice cream is nowhere to find. I guess I will have to return to Rome again!

The most delicious ice cream!/Il gelato più delizioso!
Gelateria Fiocco di Neve is an old-time gelato shop right on the via del Pantheon. It’s actually a mix of a bar/café/gelateria. They are the only ones on this list to offer a little bench outside, for sitting for a spell. I think the gelato is good, creamy and flavourful. Their dark chocolate lives up to its promise and the pistachio has a rich nutty taste.
